Housing that feels good.

Working with you to create spaces for a happy life

We are talking about real community. Where home is more than a physical place and neighbours are among friends.

What Is Souly?

Souly Spaces is a housing start-up created to deliver sustainable, affordable apartments. Through intentional design, we lay the foundation for meaningful connections that feed the soul. We believe in the unconventional.

What We Do

We develop community-focused housing by building relationships with future owners to discover what their priorities are, before construction even begins. By bringing people together, we can understand how to best serve the needs of the community and provide a truly unique and affordable living experience. Simply put, we design functional homes that empower the residents inside them.

Why Do We Need Souly Spaces?

For many folks living in Canada’s largest cities, homeownership is out of reach. Typical residential development does little to offer affordability at scale and often prioritizes profits over anything else. We need socially sustainable housing that is accessible to individuals and families looking to put down roots in the community of their choice.

The effect that housing affordability has on our cities is becoming increasingly evident. Lifelong members of our communities are being forced to migrate to more economically friendly suburbs, leading to feelings of urban transience and loneliness as social groups shrink over time.

We believe that change is needed in the way we design and deliver housing in Canada’s major cities. Conventional floor plans inhibit our ability to develop connections with our neighbors and because apartment buildings are seen as assets instead of homes, they can feel soulless and uninspiring. It is time to rethink the current model and start building housing that feels good.
